Absolutely! More than half of the guest invited have children. We don’t want to limit our guests’ ability to attend if they cannot find a babysitter! Of note, we request no children under the age of 10 in the chapel during the ceremony. We have hired a certified ****child care***** provider, previously contracted with the venue, to watch kids during the ceremony. The ceremony will be LiveStreamed in our reception area (the barn) while the ceremony will be taking place in a Chapel 50 feet away from the barn. If a parent wants to stay with their child, they’re welcome to view the ceremony from the barn with the kiddos :)

The ceremony will be held inside a beautiful white chapel with central heating and air. The reception to follow will be in large barn near the chapel with space heaters or fans if needed. (When we visited the venue, the barn gets a GREAT breeze & airflow). The bathrooms in the reception area also have centralized heating and air. March is usually a very mild time of year for Florida. We expect excellent weather & no fear of rain as every part of our big day is protected from the elements! As our date approaches, we will post weather updates to this Q+A

Our big day will be in a small town situated between Alachua & Gainesville. It’s just over an hour drive from Jacksonville. For guests’ convenience, we have reserved a “Room Block” at the Holiday Inn Express Starke by IHG if anyone does not desire driving back home after our event. For more information, see Travel option in menu. This hotel is conveniently located 20 minutes from the venue.

Our ceremony and reception will be at Belle Oaks Barn in Brooker, Fl. The property is owned and operated by a lovely Christian couple offering weddings, worship, and other gatherings on their property since 2018.

The most important question! 😂 in true Southern form, we will have a buffet style Barbecue meal served by staff at the reception. Sweet & Unsweet Tea, lemonade, water, wine, and coffee will be available to guests throughout the reception.
